Elizabeth Gold, known as "Lizzie" was likely born in New York. Her father, Louis Gold established his business in Santa Fe. Louis had travelled to the territory of New Mexico, where he took up residence, established a successful mercantile business and eventually remarried.

Notes for Morris Greenwald:

Morris' father Julius Greenwald abandoned his very young wife, Dora, and only child in Warsaw before 1860.  Dora remarried to Charles Lieberman, and he became the only father Morris ever knew.  Dora's age varies significantly dependent on the source, but she was under 20 when he was born, possibly as young as 16.  

Morris was raised in England from age 5.  Dora had a brother who had settled in Newark, NJ, and she followed him there with her family.  Morris' stepfather was in the tobacco business and taught it to Morris.  

Morris ran a "segar" store, selling leaf tobacco, in New York City. Photos

of this store with the Greenwald boys in front of it exist in

family albums.

Marriage certificate on file shows address at time of marriage in

June 1874 as 182 Bruce St., Newark, NJ. Note that the actual handwritten marriage certificate is in the possession of Lauren Becker (descended from Hannah Greenwald Davidson), and the date of marriage is October 15, 1873. The date on file in the city is June 30, 1874, but the ceremony was clearly performed in the Mayor's office on 10/15/1873.

He died on 02 Dec 1936 in Hartford, Hartford, Connecticut. She married (2) ISAAC J ROSENTHAL on 26 Oct 1895 in New York, New York. He was born in May 1865 in New York. He died between 1910-1920.
