It was so nice to here from you. I hope I can update you on this part of the family.
Yes I had my dad, Christopher Duram and his cousin Napoleon Duran submit their DNA. It has been quite interesting. I submitted their DNA quite some time ago and this year is the first time I have been in contact with anyone else in the family. I met Rebecca Sanchez a few years ago. I also had another family member with lineage through the golds contact me not too long ago.
I will start with what I know about Sarah Gold. She was born on 16 November 1872. Her christening record shows her Grandmother and Grandfather as the parents. She married Jose Merced Duran sometime before 1894. They had 2 children Jose Soltero Duran born in Glorieta, Mew Mexico on 22 October 1894 and Mercedes Duran born 2 Sept 1898 in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Mercedes was my grandmother. I asked my Grandmother many times where she was born. She didn't seem to know for sure. At one point she said she thought it was Ortiz, New Mexico but I could never find proof. I did get a birth certificate for her that shows Las Vegas. My grandmother told us many times that her mother died when she was 2 years old. She had a picture of Sarah on her wall in her house. I have asked around the family and no one know where it went. Sarah had to have died before the 1900 census because my grandmother was raised by her aunt Carlotta. So in the 1900 census when it shows a child named Maria Andrea Sedillo that is actually my grandmother. According to Napoleon his father was raised by his grandparents the Cavanaugh's. No one seems to know what happened with Jose Merced Duran after Sara died. He seems to have disappeared. The family stories say he worked on the railroad. That is how he and Sara met. He had been injured and she was the nurse that took care of his injuries.
My Grandparents, James Martin Joseph Duram and Maria Andrea Duran(aka Mercedes), married on 21 August 1916 in Las Vegas, New Mexico. They had 18 children. I can only account for 12 of them. I will fill in as many details as I can on your report an get it back to you.
I have not uploaded my dad's DNA to gedmatch. I wasn't even aware of the site. I will get it uploaded. Thank you so much for the link to the Gold family history it is very interesting. I think my family just grew a great deal. I look forward to keeping in touch with you and hearing more information.

JOSE SOTERO DURAN was born on 22 Oct 1894 in Glorieta, Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA. He died on 25 Feb 1974 in Albuquerque, Bernalillo. NM. He married MARIA JOSEPHITA MONTOYA. She was born on 17 Jul 1899 in Springer, New Mexico. She died on 18 Apr 1993 in Springer, New Mexico.

MARY ANDREA "MERCEDES" DURAN was born on 02 Sep 1898 in Ortiz, Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA. She died on 31 Jul 1987 in Spokane, Spokane, Washington, USA. She married James Martin Joseph Duram, son of Domingo Duran and Petra Lucero on 21 Aug 1916 in Las Vegas, New Mexico. He was born on 03 Jul 1897 in Anton Chico, Guadalupe, New Mexico. He died on 17 Nov 1972 in Spokane, Spokane, Washington, USA.
